Monarch Lakes – Miramar, Florida
Overview:
Monopoly Group worked with a long time client to locate, acquire, plan, develop, market and ultimately sell out 2,218 residential units on 900 acres in Southwest Broward County, Florida. Miramar is a bedroom community for both Miami and Fort Lauderdale, located on the Broward County and Miami-Dade County line. The community is situated thirty minutes from both cities and nearby Interstate-75, The Florida Turnpike, abundant shopping, two international airports and two major seaports. Monarch Lakes was developed into a self-contained community incorporating sixteen separate sub divisions, a multi-family rental community, a full complement of recreational amenities, its own elementary school and community retail. The developed pods were sold to six separate builders.
Results:
Over a period of approximately three years, the property was acquired, planned, approved, developed and sold out. The development of the property included: clearing, dredging, infrastructure, and the construction of two major roadways (Miramar Parkway and Flamingo Road) bordering the community. Monopoly was the Exclusive Broker representing the community.

Monopoly worked as an integral component assisting the developer throughout the entire process from start to completion. We have maintained a close and active ongoing relationship with the developer on this and many other communities for over twenty years.
